Transfers to Madrid hospitals for medical appointments from Palencia
Looking for a taxi to Madrid hospitals, or a car like Uber, Cabify or Bolt: here you book Spanish private hire (VTC) with advance booking and a fixed price from your town.
An early specialist appointment in Madrid means leaving before dawn, and coming back means waiting for a bus after a procedure. A door-to-door transfer avoids both: you leave at a reasonable hour and return when the patient is ready.

Madrid hospitals from Palencia
Appointments in the province are concentrated at Río Carrión Hospital in the capital, and some specialities in Valladolid. The transfer is a car with a driver, not medical transport, and from the mountains it is worth planning the return trip too.
How to get there from each area
- Palencia capital
- From Palencia the route goes south on the A-62 to Valladolid, then to Madrid on the A-601 towards Segovia and the AP-6, or on the A-6 from Tordesillas. By rail there are high-speed services to Madrid-Chamartín via Valladolid.
- El Cerrato
- From El Cerrato the route joins the A-62 towards Valladolid and continues to Madrid on the A-601 and AP-6 or on the A-6. For Barajas, on reaching Madrid it joins the M-40 or M-50.
- Tierra de Campos palentina
- From Carrión the route goes down to Palencia and then along the A-62 towards Valladolid and Madrid. Another option is a car to Palencia station and the train on to Chamartín.
- Montaña Palentina
- From Aguilar de Campoo the route runs down the A-67 to Palencia, then the A-62 towards Valladolid and Madrid. From Guardo one first has to reach Palencia or the A-67; in winter, snow can make early departures harder.
- Vega-Valdavia y Boedo-Ojeda
- Herrera joins the A-67 and Saldaña comes down on a regional road; both reach Palencia and from there take the A-62 to Valladolid and the A-6, or go via Burgos and the A-1 if the destination is on the north side of Madrid.

Frequently asked questions
Does the price include waiting during the appointment?
It is agreed beforehand. For short appointments we normally wait at no extra cost; for procedures lasting several hours it works out cheaper to book the car by the hour than to pay for two separate transfers.
Is this medical transport?
No. It is a non-assisted transfer in a car with a driver: we carry no medical staff or equipment and it does not replace an ambulance. If the patient needs care during the journey, medical transport is required.
